What to Expect

You will immediately feel at home the moment you walk in the door.

If you’ve ever gone to a social event where you didn’t know anyone, you know how uncomfortable that can make you feel.  Our goal is to eliminate every shred of apprehension and make you feel at home.

Since chiropractic care involves a series of visits, with each one building on the ones before, it’s important that our relationship can go the distance. We’ve found that one of the best ways to have successful patient relationships is to explain everything in advance. No surprises!

The more you understand who we are, what we do and why we do it, the better results you’ll enjoy. It’s as simple as that.

So, check us out here. Poke around. Get to know us. Then, contact us to make an appointment so we can get to know you.

First Visit

Our goal on your first visit is to listen to you and gather information about your health.  During this visit, we will gather information about your health history and current reason for visiting our office during your consultation.  The examination procedures will consist of a painless computerized evaluation of your spinal nerves, spine function evaluation, and any necessary x-rays will be taken.  Please bring any pertinent health history information and insurance cards if you will be using insurance. This visit usually lasts about an hour total.

Second Visit

On your second visit, the doctor will first go through a report of your exam findings, care recommendations, and answer any questions you may have.  Following your report, if you are ready, you will begin your in-office care immediately.  We recommend that a spouse or someone close to you attend the health report portion of this visit.  This visit usually last about 35 minutes.

Regular Visit

On your typical visits for day to day care, your spine will be evaluated for progress and you will receive an adjustment or adjustments as necessary.  These visits are usually much shorter, only lasting a few minutes.

Dr. Stalheim Asks some important questions of interest to Marinette residents - Chiropractor Marinette Dr. Stalheim Asks...

If you have a fever, are you sick or healthy?
Chiropractors love asking this question because it gets to the root of the chiropractic difference. Turns out fevers, vomiting, coughing and even sneezing are all healthy responses. It means your body is working correctly. Taking medications to suppress these natural processes can actually prolong your recovery.
What are the two things drugs do?
Drugs can either speed up (laxatives, amphetamines, caffeine) a bodily process, or slow down (stomach antacids, sleep aids, antihistamines, muscle relaxers) a bodily process. Chiropractic care can produce the same results, but relies on the intelligence of the body. Chiropractors trust your body. Do you?
